Via The Desk

We understand the importance of tight spreads when it comes to base metal trading and have a dedicated desk specialising in competitive pricing by sourcing the best rates from a multitude of liquidity providers. Our focus is to find the liquidity provider whose position it would suit best. Berkeley trade on a matched principal basis and do not take proprietary positions therefore we are able to work with clients to achieve the best available rates. We also offer access to execute trades in the ring, on the kerb and online via LMEselect.

Our desk uses both telephone and instant messenger to keep in constant contact with all of our clients, ensuring speedy and efficient service from qualified dealers who inform clients of trading opportunities, market movements and order flow throughout the day.

Clients can trade broken date forwards, carry trades, differential price orders, day orders and GTCs in USD, EUR, GBP and JPY.

For those clients wishing to take advantage of arbitrage opportunities between different exchanges we can provide daily indications on particular dates. We will watch these prices closely notifying clients of potential opportunities to trade or any price movements that may be significant.

LME Options

We are a specialist options provider on most LME metals offering very keen pricing for both writers and buyers of options. We can provide tight bid/offer spreads sourced from a number of providers, and we take orders both good for the day and GTC on any trade size. We can also offer additional services, running SPAN margin scenarios providing better information on the necessary funds to support any position before a trade is executed so that clients are fully aware of margin implications.

Berkeley offer the ability to view real time positions on the trading platform as well as provide a range of back office services, including access to our Client Facing Portal (CFP) which enables clients to view their statements, positions, free equity, account value and margin requirements online.
